1. Set up your account
Instagram is primarily a mobile app, although more recently it has launched a profile page for users which can be viewed on the web. So first things first you will need to download and install the Instagram app on you smartphone or mobile device.
You will then need to register an account for your company and from there you can then begin to upload your company photos using a variety of filters and effects to make them look more “arty”.
2. Edit your profile URL
You may wish to edit you profiles url to make it more memorable.
3. Add follow me buttons to your posts and website
Or anything else you think it may work on! Now that you have a profile set up, with a memorable url, you can now start placing follow me links across your website pages and posts. This will help drive traffic to your Instagram account and hopefully attract a few followers at the same time. You could also add this link to your other social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter.
4. Start taking photos
The best way to sum up Instagram is to think of it as documenting your companies life, include events, products new and old, staff or anything that is of interest to your client type. Take photos of things happening in the moment, think of it as a visual company diary!
5. Hash tags and @ symbols – what they’re all about!
