In Time for World BMX Day, The Street Series gets a New Look
A few weeks back we launched thestreetseries.com new website in time for World BMX Day this Friday.
After a successful launch of the new site and of course the event over 2 years ago, Tom Creasy, founder of The Street Series, approached us again to help hime develop the site further to keep up with the ever changing behaviours of todays fans online.
He wanted a site that was really simple, clean and easy to see exactly what was going on. He loved the old site, and it worked well, but online behaviour has changed with many fans just using social media to get all their updates, news and event info, and he felt that the old blog site didn’t have the same need as before, people didn’t want to read long endless blog articles any more about an event, they wanted quick, sharp updates before, during and after. They wanted something they could be a part of too perhaps. After all – isn’t that what The Street Series is all about?!
However, even though the take over of social media was clear, he recognised that it was still extremely important to have a website present never the less. he just needed one that would work for his fans of the event.
A new look in time for World BMX Day
As World BMX Day was fast approaching, and with Tom’s global plans for The Street Series to have a big impact on the industry that day, he needed a solution and fast.
So we helped him to visualise a one page WordPress site that would pull in, dynamically, all the content from his social media channels into one place to create one big story.
He also still needed to provide all the relevant information about the event, dates, times, locations etc. for fans somewhere that was not just on social media as perhaps not all of them use the social channels, but are still important followers of The Street Series.
Take a look a what we designed and let us know what you think!
