Planning Your New Website
A website is a waste of money if you do not plan your content and pages. Before building a website the designer will ask what you want on it, this includes:
- Page Titles
- Layout and menu orders
- Text content
- Image content
- Any other functions
Not many web designers offer a copywriting service and if they do they often charge a lot more for their sites. Therefore it will be beneficial for you to write a draft for your website pages.
When we build our clients sites we often ask them to start with a diagram of how they want their page layout. This would look something similar to below.
I then ask them to write in a word document the content for each page separated with subtitles for the page headings so that it is clear which text belongs to which page.
